Chhakkadi, Dehla Pakad and Call Break — online multiplayer card games
Chhakkadi is a six-player Indian trick-taking card game, played in two teams of three with a 48-card deck. Players bid for the number of tricks their team will take, a trump suit is set, and the round is won by reaching the bid. Play online with friends in real-time rooms, or against bots with no connection at all.
How a hand is played
- Six players sit in two teams of three, alternating around the table.
- Each player is dealt hidden, face-up and private cards from a 48-card deck.
- Players bid for how many tricks their team will win; the highest bid sets trump.
- Tricks are played out, and the bidding team scores if it reaches its bid.
Dehla Pakad (also written Dehla Phans or Dehla Fans)
A four-player Indian trick-taking game in two teams of two, played with a standard 52-card deck of thirteen cards each. The object is to capture the most 10s — the dehla — rather than the most tricks. Trump is never chosen: it is set by the first player who cannot follow the led suit. Cards pile up on the table and are only collected when the same team wins two tricks in a row, and the first collection of the hand also needs a 10 in the pile.
Call Break (also written Callbreak)
A four-player trick-taking game over five rounds of thirteen cards. Players bid individually rather than in teams, and spades are always trump with no auction. You must follow the led suit and beat the current winner if you can; when you are void in the led suit you must play a spade, and once a spade is down only a higher spade is forced.
